Spousal Sponsorship
Through Spousal Sponsorship, Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents can sponsor their spouses, common-law partners or conjugal partner to immigrate to Canada and live permanently.
They will be eligible to sponsor them only if they meet the following criteria:

- Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents must live in Canada. If the citizen is living outside the country, he/she must return once the sponsored person gets permanent resident status,
- Being able to provide financial needs to the sponsored persons.

Parental and Grandparental Sponsorship
Like Spousal Sponsorship, Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents may apply to sponsor parents or grandparents for permanent residence in Canada through the Parent and Grandparent Program- PGP.
If the application is successful, parents or grandparents become Permanent Residents of the country with all the benefits such as the right to live and work any where in Canada and access to public healthcare benefits and services.
To be eligible for PGP, the sponsor must be at least 18 years of age, meet the required Minimum Necessary Income (MNI), be the child or the grandchild of the sponsored, and be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident living in the country.
